Being a student of any kind you constantly are in a search of motivation to study. At least that is how it works for me – I’m pretty sure there are kids, who are overly motivated and don’t need a reason to get back to books every now and then.
Attending any educational institution, whether it’s a school or a college, can be very stressful. Nowadays we’re getting too big of a flow of information through all kinds of social media, to stay focused only on studying. And in most times that information is way more interesting than the one, we’re receiving during our school classes.
For me and probably for most modern students the biggest motivation to study is the fact, that the better we study, the more knowledge we have, the easier it will be to get a well-paid and respectful job. In terms of our capitalistic society a stable job and good income are one of those things that are the most important to practically anyone. So it’s no wonder that kids are studying hard in hopes to make future shine brighter for them.
Another motivation for me, though it’s a bit selfish one, is satisfying my ego. I would be lying if I said, that I would want to be the best student, on the top of my class. These selfish reasons sometimes are the only motivator for students, especially if they don’t like the specialty, they chose.
But probably the biggest motivation is my love for my specialty. I noticed that if you truly love what you do, you don’t need any motivation at all, you just want to know everything there is to know about this subject. So choosing the right profession is probably the most important thing when it comes to future motivation.
People are all different and the thing that motivates one can be unsuitable for another so it’s important to find something that will be your own motivator on achieving your goals on scientific field.
