What comes to your mind when you hear the word “nature”? Probably you imagine forests, fields, rivers, seas, different animals and insects. This word reminds you the warmth of the sun, the sound of the wind and beautiful birdsong. To my mind, nature is much more than just these things.
Why is nature so important to us? It is everything that surrounds us. Nature gives life and without any doubts nature plays an indispensable role in humans’ existence. Moreover, nature is a source of aesthetic pleasure and inspiration, that make our lives happier. Everyone loves to relax in nature and forget about daily routine for a while. It is a good way to restore our physical and mental resources.
Unfortunately, our modern world isn’t so close to mother nature as it was some centuries ago. We have forgotten all the importance of taking care of it. As a result, we have huge problems with it.Our nature is suffering because of industrial waste, acid rains, deforestation, various air, land and water pollution. All these factors cause great damage to the whole planet. Nowadays we can watch the extinction of many species, loss of plant life, depletion of natural resources, changing weather patterns.
Many people throughout the world are worrying about this situation. What can we do to prevent the ecological catastrophe? First of all we should remember that we are responsible for all the harm that we do to our nature. Each of us should take an active steps to change this sad situation and help the planet. We can start with recycling rubbish, riding bicycles more, planting more trees, using the alternative forms of energy. Our nature will be grateful for such actions.
In conclusion, I want to say that we are nothing without nature, human is a part of it. So we must protect it and take care of it before it’s too late.
